Visit from UHI
A visit by a delegation from the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) in Scotland to OUNL resulted in productive discussions on possible future collaboration in the area of learning technology and technology enhanced learning. Potential collaboration is sought for advancing videoconferencing in teaching and learning as well as the usability of complex learning systems architectures.
I have been invited onto the Programme Committee for the IADIS Conference on International Higher Education 2010, Perth, Australia, 29, 30 November and 1 December 2010. It is an honor to serve such a prestigious conference which has a great influence in the Higher Education landscape. Take a look at the conference topics and look at the call for papers.
This is the fourth year that I have been asked to review paper submissions to the prestigious ICALT conference. It's always been interesting and challenging to peer-review those articles. I enjoy this very much since I always learn something new and keep abreast with the fast-moving developments in the field of applied technologies for e-learning and the knowledge society and knowledge economy.
