ICORE
I became a founding member of the International Council for Open Research and Education (ICORE). This follows many years of me engaging in open education and open learning activities and research.
Adult education steering group
I have been asked to lead the Steering Group for innovating the Austrian Adult Education Network (VHS). The 270 institutions across the country want to better use the Internet for their joint teaching and learning operations and services.
Workshop for Lithuania
I am giving a workshop for a delegation of academics and senior managers from the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania. The workshop will be about establishing external customer relationships with public bodies and private companies for professional training and educational services.
LACRO 2013
I've been asked to join the Program Committee (PC) of the Workshop on Learning Object Analytics for Repositories Collections and Federations (LACRO 2013). The workshop will be held in conjunction with the Learning and Knowledge Analytics conference (LAK 2013), 8-12 April 2013 in Leuven, Belgium.
Expert invitation for LinkedUp data competition
I've been invited to participate as expert in the scientific committee of the LinkedUp data competitions. The LinkedUp project will organize three data competitions between May 2013 and October 2014 to stimulate the development of Open Web Data tools for the educational domain.
